Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest 2009/2010

The joint Humorous and evaluation contest on 28th August 2009 took off on a lighter mood yesterday albeit the heavy downpour and traffic jam. The unexpected staunch support from our division n area governor plus good turnout of our dear guests from near and far added color to the existing elated mood.

Yes , the humorous speeches delivered had the entire audience in stitches . A GOOD exercise for the " rectus abdominis muscle" and the facial muscles --a good formula for flatter stomach and youthful look heh ?

The sumptous break " makan ' was a treat with hot fish balls from Mdm Ong Cuisine being a hot favourite. Thanks Ivy.

The evaluation contest saw the participation of the " stalwarts " of BATMC . Indeedly it was really tough for the judges to decide the winner.The test speaker Toastmaster Vellu ' s speech on " Road to Glory " was quite a tough one 2 evaluate as he himself was really good and convincing .Thanks Vellu for coming.

The atmosphere that evening was informal one , every one was giggling --probably from suppressed giggles from the post humorous contest , hence released in slow sustained manner spread through out the contest .The evaluators themselves were rather humorous in their delivery .

Finally , the one that was crowned " Glory ' was Nisha- opps its Nishaline Priya Pubalan - she stole the limelight ,bragging the top prizes for BOTH humorous n evaluation contest . Nisha the beholder of megawatt smile was indeedly glorious last nite.She says ' am determined to Bulldoze all in next division contest -watch out for me !

"The good news is that all the evaluators felt they need additional " coaching " and are leaving on 30th August to attend an evaluation workshop at Penang. Thats the spirit of BATMC -the paradise club that always strive for the best .BATMC did not fail to acknowledge ALL who made it a successful nite.Thanks Mr PRESIDENT and his " think tank gang ".All the best to all n Glorious Merdeka !!

Trip to Pantai Kerachut Penang

Baan Ajam Toastmasters Club (BATMC) Bagan Ajam Tostmasters Club is a community club based in Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia. It was chartered on June 29, 2006 with 20 charter members. Today, it boasts a strong membership of 26 members, comprising a good mixture of the old and young; from retiree, professionals, working adults to students. BATMC was named a Select Distinguished Club in the very first year itself and consequently gained the coveted Presidential Distinguished Club status in the following three years. It comes under Area S7 of the dynamic Division S in District 51. It is also very well known as "The Paradise Club" among its fraternities.
